Meet Dr. Dixie Mobley

Dr. Dixie Mobley
Dr. Dixie Mobley is many things: a United States Air Force veteran, a functional medicine-trained dentist, a national champion collegiate wakeboarder, and a mom building something deeply meaningful alongside her husband in Gulf Breeze, FL. But above all, she is a provider who sees her patients as whole people, not just a set of teeth. That perspective shapes everything about how she practices.
Education and Advanced Training
Dr. Dixie earned both her undergraduate degree and her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Florida, completing her residency as an officer in the United States Air Force through an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program. After her military service, she continued investing in some of the most advanced and forward-thinking dental education available.
She is among the first dentists in the country to complete practitioner training through the Institute for Functional Medicine, and is a proud member of the inaugural cohort of the Institute for Functional Dentistry, a distinction that places her at the forefront of functional dental care nationally. She has also completed advanced airway training through Airway Health Solutions University and The Breathe Institute, is trained in Dr. Chelsea Pinto's Infant Frenectomy Protocol, and is an Invisalign certified provider with specialized training in expansive, airway-driven orthodontics for both children and adults.
Professional Memberships
Dr. Dixie is a member of the American Dental Association, the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT), the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine (IABDM), the Institute for Functional Medicine, the Institute for Functional Dentistry, The Breathe Institute, and is a Tooth Pillow provider. She logs 100+ hours of continuing education annually, with focus areas including airway, functional medicine, biological dentistry, and pediatric orthodontics.
Her Passion for This Work
"I always wanted to follow in my dad's footsteps," Dr. Dixie shares. "He was an Air Force physician who built his own practice with my mom, which I grew up in. I was an Air Force dentist and am now building my own practice with my husband which our kids will grow up in." That generational thread of service, family, and intentional care runs through every corner of Pearl & Pine.
Her approach to dentistry is guided by a belief that oral health is inseparable from whole-body health. She asks questions most dentists skip, looks at patterns most dentists miss, and recommends treatment that reflects the full picture of who you are.
Outside the Practice
Dr. Dixie finds joy in the outdoors, fishing, running, working out, and, more recently, yoga and meditation. Before dental school, she was a competitive gymnast and later competed on the University of Florida wakeboarding team, where she became a national champion collegiate wakeboarder.
The discipline, resilience, and determination she developed through athletics continue to shape her approach to clinical care, patient relationships, and the work of building Pearl & Pine each day.
